Thank you.

THE OLD INN IS IN A RURAL COUNTRY SETTING:
A very gentle, friendly working dog (Labrador Retriever), a friendly Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever mix puppy, and an affectionate farm cat reside here. There are many varieties of wildlife as well as blooming gardens and fields of wildflowers on the property. Neighbors on the West Road have numerous types of farm animals. Horses reside just across the West Road. For those with exceptionally severe allergies, we recommend the Senator Inn in Augusta, Maine. They are located in a more city-like environment. The Senator Inn, 207-622-5804, may be able to provide the best central Maine accommodations to keep you comfortable during your stay.

PET GUESTS:
Canine guests are charged an additional $15.00 per night to stay at the Yeaton Farm Inn. Please arrange in advance when you plan to arrive with a pet. Occasionally, we need to limit nights when dogs may visit due to the comfort of our other guests.

Your pet is welcome to explore the lawns and trails and barn at The Yeaton Farm Inn. There is opportunity here for dogs to take a good healthy run around the property. The Canine Innkeepers are welcoming and very friendly to other dogs.

At The Clarence Tabor Lakehouse, dogs must be leashed at all times when they are outside. They are not permitted to run around the decks, grounds or dock, off the leash.

At both The Yeaton Farm Inn and at The Clarence Tabor Lakehouse, no canine is permitted to sit on, sleep on, or in any manner, use the beds or sofas. We insist that you take your four-legged family member with you whenever you leave either property. This is due to past issues which have arisen as lonely pets can become anxious when their owners are away from them in a new place. Please make sure your pet has tags on the collar for our review. Thank you for your understanding.

If you would like separate canine boarding, we recommend Willow Run: Bed, Biscuit & Bath, located in a nearby historic farmhouse, 207-495-3596. Day care, special walks, and baths are available. The dogs just love this place. The establishment provides classical music, comfortable raised beds, playtimes, and a large fenced-in run for their dog guests. Please mention our name, and let the owners know well in advance, if you will need their special services. Willow Run is particularly popular with the canine set.

"One final must-see at Moosehead (can also be seen in Belgrade Lakes) is the night sky, a dazzling array of sequins spilled on black velvet. Just as in Thoreau's day, there are no city lights here to dim the sparkle."
